Military of Bermuda is my new shoegaze project. It's mostly inspired by some of my favourite shoegaze acts like Bowery Electric and Slowdive. The first song is called "sink" and you can find it below:
Sink is part of the Heirloom EP out March 18th.
Military of Bermuda was first bought into existence about 3 years ago. Well, January 9th to be precise. It was effectively randomly generated, someone chose a random wikipedia article title, a random wikiquote line and a random flickr photo for the band name, album name and album art respectively and created the image below, and thus, Military of Bermuda was born. The image sat on my harddrive for over 1000 days before I found it again and decided to make a song that would be on that album. That song became Sink. And the rest is history.
"Heirloom is the first full length release from MoB, opening with the single Sink seen above. It was recorded into my laptop from December 28th '21 to March 5th '22. There are technically 2 different versions: the soundcloud version has the original mix of Sink, whereas the Bandcamp version is slightly less noisey and more compressed.
