STBP EP

STBP EP is our longest project, at 23 songs and just about an hour long. This album was recorded concurrently with "I saw the Last Blue Beacon" in 2022.
I was really busy with school when I made this album, so wehn I couldn't be bothered to load up once of the grandiose compositions that ended up on "I saw..." I made one of these instead. Most of the songs here were written, recorded, produced and finished in an hour or two.
The process for writing these songs mostly consisted of finding a phrase or combination of words that I though was funny, and writing a song around that. This felt like a really pure distillation of what I wanted to do with the band initially, hence the name. It was only meant to be a short collection of songs initially (6-7) though as often happens, songs just kept piling up. There are a fair few "parody" songs on the album too, though the originals hold their own.
